I grew up and went to school in the Northeast (Jersey and Delaware, respectively), where a passion for nutrition turned into a major, then a degree/credential. There was a time where I actually enjoyed organic chemistry, if you can believe that! Moving to San Diego as a new dietitian, I worked with low-income patients, and serving them instituted a passion for advocating for, and supporting, underserved populations. This can extend to any person that feels like their health concerns weren’t validated by the the healthcare system.
I believe strongly in self-advocacy, especially for those identifying as women. Pursuing my health coaching credential allowed me to develop new ways to empower people in their health journey. With work experience in Public Health, everything came together for me in realizing that success with health efforts (be it physical or emotional) takes a team. As someone who has “recovered” from years of hyper-independence, I understand the courage it takes to develop a team you trust.
I am here in whatever way Crunchy Coaching speaks to you. I want to help you find a meaningful connection to your food, your personal values, and the ways in which you want to take up space in this world. Let’s get crunchy.
The things that bring us joy in the world are a direct reflection of the light that lives within us. What would a bright life look like to you? Send me a message so we can start building your garden.
(I cannot promise that is the extent of my puns.)
